The design explorer allows the user to view the major components of a design in RapidSmith. Click on images for higher resolution shots.

Above shows the Instance tab illustrating how instances and their attributes can be explored. Blue hyperlinks allow the user to switch directly to a primitive site, tile, module or module instance.


Above shows the FPGA fabric, outlining tiles and primitive sites.


Above shows the filter pattern that allows the user to search through different objects in the design based on names or patterns.

Device Browser

The device browser allows the user to explore primitive sites, tiles and wires that exist on all the different parts supported by RapidSmith. Click on images for higher resolution shots.

Above shows a complete view of a Virtex 4 FX100 part.


Above illustrates how different tiles can be selected and their sites and wires are listed in the windows to the left.


Above illustrates the wires available in a tile and the connection name in the tooltip message.
